Ready to book your Samgai Journey? Below are some instructions on how to complete your booking.
Choose your tour and reserve a phone call
Browse our website to get a flavour of the kind of tours we offer. Keep in mind that we can customise all of our tours so that they perfectly suit your needs. Once you’ve found a journey that you think might be of interest then get in touch via the Contact Us page. We find that it’s often beneficial if we then schedule a time to talk on the phone about your chosen journey. This will reassure you that you are indeed talking to a real-life human being (!) and allows us to get a better idea of what you wish to get out of your journey and any tweaks we need to make to the itinerary so as to best cater for this. Of course, if you don’t want to talk on the phone then that’s also fine!
The Details
After this conversation we will fine tune your journey. When your happy with the dates and itinerary and all your questions have been answered we will send you a booking form. You will be required to complete details for all travellers, including their contact details and passport information. Please ensure this form is completed accurately and that names exactly match as they appear in your passport(s).
Payment
In order to confirm your place on a tour you will be asked to make a deposit payment that amounts to 50% of the overall tour cost. The remainder of the payment must be made no later than 30 days before the tour is set to begin. If you are booking 30 days or less from the day of departure then we will ask for the tour to be paid in full.
The preferred method of payment is bank to bank transfer. We will send you all the details on how to do this. We are based in France and can accept payment in Euros, UK Pound Sterling, US Dollars as well as a number of other major currencies.
Travel insurance
Travel insurance is compulsory for all our trips. As a minimum, we require that your insurance covers you for medical expenses, including emergency repatriation. We also strongly recommend you are covered for personal liability, loss of luggage, travel delays and personal effects. You will be required to give details of your insurance prior to departure. If you are booking a tour that includes mountain trekking then please ensure that your travel insurance covers trekking to the correct altitude. Also, be aware that not all travel insurances policies cover trekking in Nepal. If you are heading to Nepal with us please ensure that your insurance is valid.
