Africa at its most diverse
From elephants in the shadow of Kilimanjaro to the the wildebeest spotted savannah of the Massai Mara, Kenya is the original home of the African safari. And for most, that’s reason enough to visit. But, Kenya offers so much more than that. From the pulsating streets of the capital, Nairobi, to the Swahili vibe of the Indian Ocean, the vast, untrammeled deserts of the north, the muddy farming country of the west and the epic hiking found in hills and mountain ranges across the land, this is a land of a thousand journeys.
Kenya is our second home and the place where the very idea of Samgai Journeys was born. It was the very first non-European country we visited and since the early 1990’s we’ve spent numerous extended periods of time in this most diverse of African countries. Over the years we have authored multiple editions of the Lonely Planet and Rough Guide books to Kenya and this means that we have travelled to almost every town, park, beach, city and mountain in the country in search of the most unique tourism experiences. With a focus on community immersion and off the beaten path experiences, we will immerse you in a Kenya few other tour companies have ever even heard of.
