A Week in Bhutan

Bhutan is where fairytales come to life! Tucked into the green folds of the eastern Himalaya, this fascinating, beautiful and highly spiritual country, which puts great importance on environmental protection and personal well-being, is covered in dense forests which hide anceint Buddhist monasteries and chapels, fortress-like dzongs and silent meditation retreats. The small size of Bhutan means that in just a week you can get a good overview of some of the country’s main tourist sites as well as get well off the beaten track to explore little visited cliffside chapels and to hike along gentle paths through misty forests. We even offer you the chance to spend a night in a mountain monastery as a guest of the monks. A truly unique experience!

On this week long journey we explore the three main valleys of western Bhutan. The Thimpu valley with the capital city, the Paro valley which is home to the iconic Taktshang (Tigers Nest) monastery and, our personal favourite, the secluded Haa Valley which is a place laced in magic.

This 8 day/7 night journey starts and ends in Paro. The itinerary involves a certain amount of easy hiking.
